Wembley Fire Department
The Wembley Fire Department consists of several dedicated members. We have both firefighters and medical co-responders (MCR's). This department is 100% volunteer, we do operate as a department of the Town of Wembley.
When we are not running around putting out fires, managing vehicle collision scenes or assisting patients in medical emergencies you can find us doing things in and around the Fire Hall and the Community. Currently the Town of Wembley has a mutual aid agreement with the County of Grande Prairie No.1.
This agreement states that we will report to fire calls within the County a well as provide mutual aid to the other region partners within the county of Grande Prairie No.1.
Many of you have most likely heard the siren at the Fire Hall sound from time to time.......sorry about waking you up in the middle of the night.
This siren is set off for all fire and MVC calls to alert all members of the call. For fire and MVC calls we need as many members to attend as possible. We do not set the siren off for medical calls, due to the fact that we only require 2 MCR's to attend a call.
For information regarding the Fire Department please contact Fire Chief Matt Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
