NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


To amend the Town of Wembley Land Use By-Law 603.

The purpose of By-Law 603(AC) is for general housekeeping to the Town of Wembley’s Land Use Bylaw
District Map.


Pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, R.S.A. 2000 and amendments thereto, it is the intention of the Council of the Town of Wembley to adopt By-law 603(AC) to amend the Town of Wembley Land Use By-Law 603.

The purpose of By-Law 603(AC) is for general housekeeping to the Town of Wembley’s Land Use Bylaw District Map.

The Town of Wembley Land Use By-law 603 amendments are as follows:

  1. That the District Map is hereby amended as follows:
    Pt. of SW-22-71-8-W6, referred to as Area 1, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Urban Reserve (UR) to Industrial (M-1).
    Pt. of SW-22-71-8-W6, referred to as Area 2, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Highway Commercial (C-2) to Industrial (M-1).
    Pt. of SW-22-71-8-W6, referred to as Area 3, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Industrial (M-1) to Highway Commercial (C-2).
    Pt. of NE-15-71-8-W6, referred to as Area 4, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Industrial (M-1) to Urban Reserve (UR).
    Pt. of NE-15-71-8-W6), referred to as Area 5, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Urban Reserve (UR) to Residential Restricted (R-1).
    Lots 16 & 17, Block 24, Plan 0720246, referred to as Area 6, as identified in “Schedule A” be changed from Residential Restricted (R-1) to Residential General (R-2).

A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected by the public at the Town Municipal Office located at 9940 – 101 Street, Wembley, Alberta during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excepting statutory holidays and between the hours of 12 noon and 1:00 p.m.

A Public Hearing will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at approximately 8:00 p.m., to hear presentations from interested parties.

Written submissions may be sent to the Town Office prior to 12 noon, Thursday, September 6, 2018. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Council must notify the Development Officer by 12 noon on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
