wildfire danger for the Grande Prairie Forest Area is HIGH.

Warm temperatures and gusty winds
will increase the fire danger in the coming days. Areas that have not received
rain are at the highest risk. Aerial patrols, lookout personnel and our fire
crews are watching for holdover lightning fires. To report wildfire call

Five lightning caused wildfires were detected this past weekend.
Grande Prairie Forest Area currently has listed two active wildfires. GWF 32 is
under control (UC) at 76 hectares crews continue to extinguish hotspots. GWF 40
is being held (BH) at 0.5 hectares. Currently, 13 firefighters using a water
truck and helicopter are working this wildfire.
