Prairie Disposal will provide weekly clear bag pickup beginning May 21 until the bins are delivered, under the following conditions:
- Maximum of 3 clear bags per pickup
- Bags must be under 50lbs each
- Put the bags at the curbside (boulevard) on garbage day (8am) (Away from other items but near garbage carts for pick up).
Garden mulch includes natural yard and garden materials such as leaves, grass clippings, small branches, twigs, weeds, hedge trimmings, and other plant-based garden debris.
2026 - Currently no access to the Compost Bin area.
The spring cleaning has started for some, and questioning what to do with your yard waste.
> Option at the moment are:
- To haul your waste to the West Grande Prairie County Regional Transfer Station (WGPCRTS) 733003 Range Road 93: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 AM till 6:00 PM, Closed Sunday, Monday and Stat Days, or to the Clairmont Landfill 724065 RGE RD 63 County of Grande Prairie, AB, Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Closed on Sunday and Stat days, or
- If you have room in your garbage cart you may disposed your bagged yard waste, or
- You may purchase garbage tags at the Town Office (Clear bags to be used if you are disposing at the curb with garbage tag).
- May 11th, 2026: Town Council motioned to use the curbside bin option for the town residents.
Survey regarding residential curbside mulch bin is now closed. Survey was active until May 7th, 2026.
