Notice of Nomination Day Local Authorities Election Act (Section 26)
LOCAL JURISDICTION: WEMBLEY, PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
Notice is hereby given that Nomination Day is October 19th, 2026 and that nominations for the election of candidates for the following office will be received at the location of the local jurisdiction office set out below within the period beginning on September 15, 2026 and ending at 12:00 noon on Nomination Day.

Eligible Candidates - Qualifications
Who can be a candidate? Must be a resident of the Town of Wembley.
New to Town? Became a Town Resident on or before March 19, 2026: Starting date of the consecutive 6-month period to be a resident of the local jurisdiction and ward, if any, to be eligible for nomination.
To become a candidate for any office in the Election, you must be:
• at least 18 years of age
• a Canadian citizen
• a resident of the Town of Wembley since March 19, 2026
• not otherwise ineligible or disqualified

- Pick up at the Town Office 9940-101 Street Wembley, Alberta. Monday to Friday Office Hours: 8:30am to 12pm (closed for lunch) 1pm to 4:30pm. Closed on all STAT Days.

To Vote for Town of Wembley Council you must live in Town limits. Your primary residence must be in Wembley.
Register to Vote - *New register to vote by visiting Voterlink in advance of the election.
Voters will be required to register to vote in Municipal Elections as per proposed changes to the Local Authorities Election Act (Bill 20 – Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act, 2024). The voters list will be provided to the County under a Data Sharing Agreement with Elections Alberta.
Voters are encouraged to register to vote by visiting Elections Alberta in advance of the election.
Falsifying your place of residence, you may be subject to fines.
