Wembley Fire Department Summer worker
Terms of Employment: Firefighter - July–September 2023
Salary: $20.00/hour
Hours: 35 hours/week for 8 weeks
Anticipated Start/Finish Date: Position to start early July 2023
Location: Town of Wembley fire station.
Skill Requirements: This is a high energy position so we are looking for someone who can keep up with our busy station. Punctuality, honesty, and hard work ethic are required. Other qualifications – Sense of humor, work with a team, creative, accept direction, problem solving.
Credentials: Summer worker must be under 30 years of age, with preference given to – members in good standing with WFD who have completed FF Level 1 or are completing the FF series courses and have passed a Physical Demands Test.
Experience: Experience with firefighting operations
Job description: Firefighter - Assist Fire station Captain with all day-to-day tasks associated with operations and maintenance of equipment and the station. Complete tasks and other duties as assigned. Respond to calls as required and attend training as allowed.
